Hello so i purchased this remote start kit for my 2020 Toyota 4 runner and got it installed. Then I started having an issue. The start worked at first and did the key take over but then after I put the car all back together and drove home and tested it at home. The car was just turning on and then turning off and on and off like it had a mind of its own but would let the key takeover and keep running if i caught it while it was running. I'm not sure what was going on there. So I got in touch with the tech support on 12/26/24 and was able to reach James and he was super helpful and friendly. We were on the phone and went out to my car to diagnose it when i tried to start it to recreate the issue i was having, it was not working at all. It wouldn’t do the remote start and the led light on the modual would blink red 7 times and shut off. So james had me pull the dcm 7.5a fuse and try again, still nothing. So we did a bunch of diffrent things like checking all conectors and looking for wire taps and aftermarket trackers or anything like that, and i didnt see anything. One thing we did was what he called a soft reset and then reprogrammed the module. Still got nothing and the same red light. So James instructed me to reach out here and summerize what we did and said to say that James approved a full swapout to solve this issue. But James also told me to mention the first problem that I was having where the car was turning on and off. Because I would need some specific solution to that problem.
